A Visit in New York

Václav Havel always tried to make use of the few rare moments he could spare from the official presidential program to meet his friends and acquaintances. Whenever possible, he made a point of seeing the Formans. This time, it was in the warm, relaxed atmosphere of the Formans’ apartment overlooking Central Park. New York, ca. 1997.

Detailed information

Product detailed description

EDITION 17×17 is a collection of photographs offered in a clean, minimalist concept as artifacts in a compact, smaller, and more affordable format.

This photograph from the 17×17 Edition is mounted in a wooden frame with a 1 cm profile, made of natural oak. The image size is 10 × 15 cm. The overall frame size is 26 × 26 cm. The photograph is mounted in a white mat with a beveled cut. Some versions are set in a frame with a three-centimeter depth, adjusted so that the photograph appears to “float” or be suspended in space (see photo).
The frame glass features a UV-protective layer, so-called museum glass. The photograph is signed on the back and includes a caption with the place and date of origin. The author’s signature on the back of the photograph is also visible within the frame.

As the author of the photographic work, I always strive—beyond the visual experience—to provide the highest possible technical quality, meeting top gallery standards. I print my photographs on archival papers from the German company Hahnemühle or the French company Canson, which meet the highest requirements for preservation and quality. All materials are archival and pH-neutral. When displaying photographs, I recommend observing standard practices: avoid direct sunlight, humidity, and high temperatures, as with any artwork or print.

Photographs are intended for personal use only, for display in private homes or other private spaces. Any other form of use—such as display in public spaces or institutions, or publication online or in print/media, or any other use—is permitted only with the author’s written consent.
