Moments filled with hope at Albertov on November 17, 1989.
Students are just beginning their march through Prague — unaware that they are taking part in a day that will forever change Czechoslovak history. What started as a peaceful student demonstration culminated in a brutal intervention by security forces on Národní třída. This event became the final spark that triggered an avalanche of civic resistance.

The photograph captures the moment when a revolution is being born — later known as the Velvet Revolution.

Detailed information

Product detailed description

Edition 17×17 is a collection of photographs presented in a clean, minimalist concept, offered as artifacts in a compact, smaller, and more affordable format.

Photographs from the 17×17 edition are mounted in a wooden frame with a 1 cm profile, made of natural oak.
The image size is 17 × 11 cm, while the overall frame size is 26 × 26 cm. The photograph is mounted in a white mat with a beveled cut.

Some versions are mounted in frames with a 3 cm depth, adjusted so that the photograph appears to “float” in space — see reference image. The frame is fitted with UV-protective museum-grade glass.

Each photograph is signed on the reverse and includes a label with the place and date of creation. The author’s signature on the back of the photograph is visible even when framed.

If you prefer your own mounting, i.e. you would like to purchase the photograph only, without frame, mat, or UV glass, please select the “unframed” option.

As the author of my photographic works, I always strive to provide not only a strong visual experience, but also the highest possible technical quality at a top gallery level. My photographs are printed on archival papers by the German company Hahnemühle or the French company Canson, meeting the most demanding standards for long-term preservation and image quality. All materials used are archival and pH-neutral.

When displaying photographs, I recommend following standard practices for handling works of art. Photographs (like paintings or graphic prints) should not be exposed to direct sunlight, humidity, or high temperatures.

The photographs are intended for personal use only, for display in private homes or other private spaces. Any other use — such as display in public spaces or institutions, online or print publication, or any other form of use — is permitted only with the author’s prior written consent.
